Configure and manage return locations and warehouse operations.

ReturnMate supports multiple return locations, allowing you to route returns to the appropriate facility based on various criteria.

Location Types

Adding Locations

Access Location Settings

Go to Settings → Locations → Add Location

Enter Details

Fill in location information:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Contact details
  • Operating hours

Set Location Type

Choose the appropriate location type.

Configure Capabilities

Define what this location can handle:

  • Standard returns
  • Warranty repairs
  • Specific product categories

Set Up Routing

Configure when returns go to this location.

Configure warehouse location details

Location Routing

Routing Rules

Route returns based on:

Geographic:

  • Customer postcode
  • State/region
  • Distance to location

Product-Based:

  • Product category
  • SKU patterns
  • Product tags

Return Type:

  • Standard returns
  • Warranty claims
  • Repairs
  • Exchanges

Rule Configuration

  1. Go to Settings → Locations → Routing
  2. Click Add Rule
  3. Define conditions:
    • If [condition] → Route to [location]
  4. Set priority order
  5. Save rules

Example Rules

Rule 1: If Product Category = "Electronics" → Tech Repair Centre
Rule 2: If Customer State = "WA" → Perth Warehouse
Rule 3: If Return Type = "Warranty" → Central Warehouse
Default: Sydney Warehouse

Primary Location

Setting Primary

Your primary location is the default destination:

  1. Go to Settings → Locations
  2. Click on a location
  3. Enable Set as Primary
  4. Confirm change

When Primary is Used

  • No routing rules match
  • Simple return configurations
  • New stores before rules are set

Location Capacity

Capacity Management

Set capacity limits:

  • Maximum returns per day
  • Maximum concurrent returns
  • Overflow routing

Overflow Handling

When capacity is reached:

  1. System detects limit approaching
  2. New returns route to overflow location
  3. Staff receives notification
  4. Original location resumes when capacity frees

Warehouse Operations

Receiving Setup

Configure receiving for each location:

  • Required receiving steps
  • Inspection requirements
  • Photo documentation needs
  • Barcode scanning setup

Staff Assignment

Assign team members to locations:

  1. Edit team member profile
  2. Select assigned locations
  3. Team member sees only their locations
