Control which resolution options staff can select based on the warranty determination. Configure under Settings > Resolution Options.
Determination Types
ReturnMate has four built-in determination types:
| Determination | Description |
|---|---|
| Warranty Approved | Item has a valid manufacturing defect covered by warranty |
| Out of Warranty | Item is outside the warranty period or not covered |
| Customer Damage | Damage caused by customer misuse or accidental damage |
| No Fault Found | No defect found during inspection |
Configuring Resolutions
For each determination type, you can enable or disable specific resolution options and customise their labels.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Enabled | Show or hide this resolution option for the determination |
| Label | Customisable display text to match your business terminology |
Example Configuration
| Determination | Available Resolutions |
|---|---|
| Warranty Approved | Repair, Replace, Refund, Store Credit |
| Out of Warranty | Paid Repair, Return to Customer |
| Customer Damage | Paid Repair, Return to Customer |
| No Fault Found | Return to Customer |
Customise the labels to match your team's language. For example, rename "Repair" to "Workshop Repair" or "Refund" to "Full Credit" if that's what your team uses.
How It Works
- Technician completes diagnostics and assigns fault codes
- Technician selects the determination (e.g. Warranty Approved)
- Only the enabled resolution options for that determination are shown
- Technician selects the appropriate resolution
- The resolution is recorded and the RMA progresses
