Restocking Fees

Configure restocking fees applied to returns based on item condition.

Restocking fees allow you to deduct a percentage from refunds based on the condition of returned items. Configure under Settings > Restocking Fees.

Configuring Fees

Each restocking fee has:

ConditionInternal condition identifier (e.g. complete, missing_items, damaged_box)
ActiveOnly active fees can be applied to returns

How Fees Are Applied

  1. When processing a refund, staff selects the item condition
  2. The matching restocking fee is applied automatically
  3. The fee percentage is deducted from the refund amount
  4. The customer sees the fee breakdown in their refund notification

Restocking fees are never applied to Damaged in Transit or Wrong Item returns, as these are the store's responsibility.
